TDM city: Hallmark of a modern and civilized urban area

Despite difficulties, TDM city has fulfilled most set targets under the leadership of the city’s Party Committee in the 2010-2015 tenure. The spiritual and material lives of the local people have been improved. Also, the locality has been recognized as a second-class city and it has so far met 41 out of 49 criteria of a first-class city.

Changing towards urbanization

To date, TDM city has created many vital changes during its urbanization process, improving the spiritual and material lives of the local people.

Nguyen Van Dong, Chairman of TDM city’s People’s Committee said that since TDM was recognized as a third-class city in 2007, there has been a considerable expansion on urban space with socio-technical infrastructure invested in a synchronous way. Social works like schools, health stations…in the city have been invested towards national standards. Along with this, the quality of life of the local people has also been improved .

Noticeably, TDM city has formed up a synchronous urban traffic system. The city’s area for urban traffic system has reached 1,507.23 hectares, accounting for 23% of total urban development area. The main road density in the city is now 7km/km². Regarding urban rejuvenation, the city has so far also carried out 307 traffic works with total length of nearly 82km and total capital disbursed of nearly VND248bln…

Building up a strong and pure Party Committee

Realizing that building up a strong and pure Party Committee is one of the local main tasks, TDM city’s Party Committee has attached special importance to building the Party, improving the Party leadership and fighting capacity as well as the quality of Party members.

Nguyen Tuan, Head of the city’s Department of Propaganda and Education said that the city’s Party Committee has sped up education of political ideology among Party members. Together with this, the city’s Party Committee has also attached special importance to Party admission and enhanced the quality of Party members.

Such these part, the city’s Party Committee has promoted the implementation of the Resolution of the 4th Plenum of the Communist Party of Vietnam (11th Tenure) on “Some urgent issues on Party building at present”. Particularly, the city’s Party Committee has attached special importance to education of political ideology, ethics and lifestyle among Party members…

Socio-economic achievements done over the past years will continue being a firm foundation for TDM city to further fly towards urbanization, civilization and modernity.

Today, January 31, the city’s Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee organize a get-together to mark the 85^th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930-February 3, 2015). On this occasion, the city’s Party Committee also holds a ceremony to bestow posthumously the title of heroic Vietnamese mother to 21 mothers. The whole city now has a total of alive heroic Vietnamese mothers.
