Dau Tieng district’s Child Support Fund, on January 15, teamed up with provincial Child Support Fund to present 100 Tet gifts worth VND500,000 each, including confectionary, sugar, milk, notebooks and VND400,000 in cash, to children with difficulties in Minh Hoa and Minh Thanh communes.

On the occasion of the upcoming traditional Tet (Lunar New Year) festival, Dau Tieng district’s People’s Committee has donated 150 Tet gifts to poor children with a total value of VND75mln from the local State budget. Socio-economic organizations in and out of the district have also given significant gifts for needy children, helping them enjoy a happy spring.

*The same day, provincial Sponsoring Association for the Disabled, Orphans and Poor Patients presented 200 Tet gifts worth VND200,000 each, including confectionary, cooking oil, sugar, seasoning powder and VND100,000 in cash, to poor households in Tuong Binh Hiep commune and Hiep An ward in TDM city.

It is known that the above gifts has a total value of VND60mln, funded by Binh Duong Production-Export Import Company.

*On the 2014 traditional Tet (Lunar New Year) festival, Di An town will donate more than 11,200 Tet gifts to policy beneficiaries, Agent Orange victims, poor households, disabled and orphan children…with a total expense of more than VND9.9bln.

Of these, 1,585 Tet gifts are supported by the central State budget, 5,423 from the province’s State budget and the remainder from the town’s State budget.
