The joy of a heroic land

September 9, Bach Dang Commune in Tan Uyen Town solemnly organizes a ceremony welcoming the Third Rank Labor Decoration rewarded by the President for its excellent activities from 2009 to 2013 for the cause of socialism construction and national defense. The honored decoration is promoting to make efforts for more and more beautiful homeland.

A heroic land

Returning to Bach Dang Islet in the first days of 2015, we are moved by the traditions of the land through 2 resistance wars which had not involved much of the locality but the heroic and brave spirit of local people of Bach Dang Islet who, irrespective of sacrifices, had won back independence and freedom for our homeland and people.

To appreciate the contributions of local army and people in the two resistance wars, in 2005, Bach Dang Commune was entitled as a locality of heroic armed force which was the promotion for local Party Committee, authority, officers, and people to be in unified efforts for more and more developing homeland.

Transformations

Celebrating the joy, various people from Bach Dang Commune, provincial localities, and Dong Nai Province have attended the ceremony of Third Rank Labor Decoration acceptance. Mr. Vy Van Vu, a local originated in Bach Dang and Chair of Dong Nai Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, was early at the ceremony, showing his happiness for local growth and the honor gained. He wished for more results to come.

Various changes are made to appearance of Bach Dang commune

Back in the years before 2010, Bach Dang Commune was surrounded by river. In 10 years of new rural area construction movement, Bach Dang Islet was still in poverty due to the isolation of the river. Socio-economic development of the Commune was limited due to limited transportation to and fro. By the end of 2010, the Commune eyed only 9 out of 19 criteria of being a new rural area.

By the care and facilitation of all levels, agencies, staffs and public of Bach Dang Commune have made great efforts to fulfill criteria of new rural area construction. Under the spirit of unity and self-sustaining promotion and local leadership of Party Committee and authority management, drawbacks have gradually overcome to create a new rural area out of Bach Dang Commune. Notably, socio-economic infrastructure of Bach Dang Commune gained complete construction of electricity network, schools, stations, and social welfare constructions. Up to date, all the families in the commune are accessible to telephones and clean water.

Mr. Van Hoang, Chair of Bach Dang Commune People’s Committee affirmed of public power and social participation into the progress of new rural area construction. The emulation movements of building new rural area have been animated with enthusiastic response of the public. As a result, by the end of 2013, Bach Dang Commune was evaluated as a locality of 19/19 criteria completion for new rural area.
