Thuan An city’s year 2022 socio-economic targets gained and exceeded

In the morning of December 19, the 12th Thuan An city People's Council of 2021-2026 tenure held its 8th meeting to comprehensively assess the situation and results of implementing the city Council's Resolution on socio-economic development and national defense-security in the province in 2022 to set out key tasks and solutions in 2023; at the same time, to consider and decide on other important local issues (in photo).

At the meeting, the People's Council of Thuan An city approved the report summarizing the results of implementing the tasks of socio-economic development and national security. Accordingly, in 2022, Thuan An city achieved and exceeded 15 out of 16 planned targets. Specifically, the value of industrial production realized at VND 256,750 billion, gaining 100.8% of the Resolution assigned by the city People's Council. The value of the trade and services was VND 93,030 billion, increasing by 23.02% compared to 2021 or 100.02% of the planning. In 2022, the total budget revenue was over VND 3,893 billion, gaining 107.65% of the provincial estimation. Total budget expenditure was estimated at more than VND 1,857 billion, reaching 106.34% of the provincial estimation.

Taking care of people with meritorious services, policy beneficiaries and social protection beneficiaries has always been of the great interest to the city. The city has provided regular preferential subsidies and hardship allowances to 5,112 policy and social beneficiaries with a total amount of VND 43,141 billion. Along with that, social security packages of the central and provincial authority and government have been promptly implemented to support those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic; so far, over VND 1,280 billion has been disbursed or 85.07% of the planned disbursement. Political security, social order and safety have been maintained.

On December 19, the People's Council of Thuan An city will conduct questioning and answering questions about groups of issues that voters and delegates are interested in.
