Thuan An further reaches stable socio-economic growth

Thuan An city’s Party Committee, on July 7, held its 31^st open session for the 2015-2020 tenure with focus on reviewing the local socio-economic development, national defence-security and Party building in the first half of 2020, in attendance of Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

Despite the impacts from Covid-19 pandemic, the town in the first half of the year still continued reaching stability in socio-economic development. The town’s industrial production value was estimated at VND119.5trillion, up 7% compared to the same period last year. The town’s total retail sales revenue of commodities and services was estimated at more than VND37.7trillion, up 17% compared to the same period last year. The town also carried out 7 irrigation works with a total expense of VND14billion; continued attaching special importance to Party building in all aspects…

Addressing the session, Mr.Liem spoke highly of achievements done by the city over the past six months while asking for the city’s Party Committee to strengthen State administration in urban development, construction; further take major solutions in State budget estimates and fulfill targets on socio-economic development in 2020; especially pay attention to the organization of the city’s Party congress for the 2020-2025 tenure, put forward plans on ensuring the local political security, social order and safety…

On this occasion, the city’s Party congress awarded the 40 and 55-year Party membership insignia to 6 Party members; announced the decisions of commendation and reward to 1 collective, 24 individuals; commended, rewarded 8 collectives and 17 individuals for their excellent performance in Party building, 8 outstanding collectives in inspection and supervision last year.
