Thuan An’s youths uphold voluntary, exemplary role

Studying and following Uncle Ho’s thought, morality and lifestyle, young people in Thuan An town have brought into full play their voluntary and exemplary role in constructing and defending the nation, getting involved in voluntary activities for the sake of the community by many practical activities, thereby contributing to building up a more prosperous and beautiful Thuan An homeland.

Creative ways

Since 2016, Thuan An town’s Youth Unions at all levels have actively disseminated the contents of studying and following Uncle Ho’s thought, morality and lifestyle while implementing training programs for Youth Union members for the 2015-2017 period and the 2018-2022 period. So far, they have set up 45 bookshelves “following Uncle Ho’s teachings” with 3,650 copies of various books; rotated more than 1,500 copies of books, newspapers, including more than 200 copies of books on Uncle Ho, to lodging facilities…

The town’s Youth Unions at all levels have also continued promoting the contents of studying and following Uncle Ho’s thought, morality and lifestyle by a variety of creative ways. Accordingly, each Youth Union branch registered to carry out a youth work following Uncle Ho’s teachings. Each Youth Union member also registered to do a daily deed following Uncle Ho’s teachings.

Through special subjects, the town’s Youth Union has instructed its branches to study and follow Uncle Ho’s teachings by many significant activities, comprising of writing diaries following Uncle Ho’s teachings; organizing contests, forums on Uncle Ho; registering to carry out youth works following Uncle Ho’s teachings; planting trees in memory of Uncle Ho…, thereby helping the local Youth Union members improve their revolutionary morality, educational level at development requirements of the society.

Role-models

From studying and following Uncle Ho’s teachings, the town has discovered many outstanding youths. Nguyen Thi Thanh Loan, Secretary of Trinh Hoai Duc secondary school is a typical example for this. Over the past years, she excelled at guiding the youth movements of the school. The school’s Youth Union was highly appreciated and selected as a central model for activities on environmental protection, law dissemination…

For studying and following Uncle Ho’s teachings implemented effectively, she carried out many practical models, namely “School consulting board”, “Taking care of green trees in the precinct of the school”…, absorbing numerous Youth Union members over the past time. She was also a good teacher at school level for the 2017-2018 academic year and the 2018-2018 academic year and excellently won the title of the town’s “March flower” outstanding youth leader in 2019.

Or, Nguyen Viet Thang, member of the Executive Board of the town’s Division of Natural Resources-Environment’s Youth Union is one of typical examples in studying and following Uncle Ho’s teachings. He said: “I study and follow Uncle Ho’s teachings from practical deeds in association with my unit’s tasks. Accordingly, I have outlined solutions, implemented models bringing benefits to people…”.

Truong Van Khanh, Vice-Secretary of the town’s Youth Union said that after more than three years of implementing the Politburo’s Directive No.5-CT/TW on acceleration of studying and following Uncle Ho’s thought, morality and lifestyle, the town’s Youth Union has created an obvious change in awareness and action of the local youths. They have constantly strived to build up a nice image of youths in the new era.

Reportedly, the town’s Youth Unions at all levels carried out many significant works after three years of implementing acceleration of studying and following Uncle Ho’s thought, morality and lifestyle. Particularly, they built 2 “red scarf” houses worth nearly VND100million; awarded nearly 1,500 scholarships and bicycles to poor-but-excellent pupils; offered approximately 1,500 gifts to policy beneficiary families, poor children; provided free medical check-up, medicine for the poor; upgraded streets…
