At noon of February 1, Binh Duong provincial People's Committee held a provincial online conference of the Steering Committee for Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control on the response to the Covid-19 epidemic happening in the province so as to remove difficulties and obstacles in implementation of localities. As of February 1 noon, the province has recorded 2 positive cases of SARS-CoV-2. According to the report of Nguyen Hong Chuong, Director of Binh Duong provincial Department of Health at the conference, apart from the first case of N.T.P. residing at Ca Na hamlet, An Binh commune, Phu Giao district, the 2nd positive case for SARS-CoV-2 virus in the province, which is N.T.M.A., a student at Thu Dau Mot University, was informed by a notice from the Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City in the evening of January 31 to Binh Duong provincial Center for Disease Control (BD CDC). Right after that, the Provincial Steering Committee for Disease Control had an urgent meeting to immediately implement the work of preventing, combating and tracing related objects at Thu Dau Mot University. Nguyen Hong Chuong suggested that all medical isolation zones in the province should be reactivated while border line entries to Binh Duong by foreign employees must be postponed.

After listening to the speeches at the conference, Nguyen Hoang Thao emphasized: From the communal level and higher up, the leaders of the party committee must participate by the spirit of "anti-epidemic is like anti-enemy." The Covid-19 epidemic has now evolved, so we must be proactive. The mental and attitude must be clear and must be victorious in this fight against the pandemic. The situation in the coming time is predicted to be very difficult and complicated. The next work needs paying attention to in the coming time is to urgently trace and map infected cases for quick tracing and suggest assistance if needed. Regarding the lockdown, the study continues to expand the area, not limited to administrative geography with appropriately calculated to protect the safety of the people and the local situation. The police and military forces combine to check and remind to handle cases of not wearing masks, and cases of failure to comply with epidemic prevention regulations as prescribed. Transportation must be in the spirit for the health and safety of the people. Branches and unions need to raise their sense of responsibility and promote their role in calling for socialization to mobilize the entire people to participate in supporting the anti-epidemic activities.
