Although she bought many products after a shopping tour at Aeon Mall Binh Duong Canary, Than Thi Hong Thuan (Lai Thieu Ward, Thuan An City) quickly entered a booth displaying bamboo and rattan products of Thanh Loc Company at the fair of Vietnamese goods. Holding a sedge bag she just bought for 150,000 VND, Thuan said that there were many household products, such as furniture, paper boxes, flower pots, and bags made from environmentally friendly  materials with a very unique design. “Customers are spoiled for choice. In particular, the fair also had a good price program during the pandemic time. The market brings benefits, helps people to access good domestically produced goods at reasonable prices,” said Thuan.

Customers choose handicraft products at the Vietnamese goods' market day held at Aeon Mall Binh Duong Canary.

Ho Van Tuoi, owner of Tuoi Khanh lacquer factory (Hiep An Ward, Thu Dau Mot City), said that the Covid-19 was still raging, the handicraft sector continued to be affected. “In this program of handicrafts, we want to directly approach and learn about the demand of consumers for our products. From there, we assess the reality of the local market to make appropriate production and business adjustments to better meet the needs of consumers in the pandemic context of the epidemic", said Tuoi.

Similarly, Nguyen Y Van, retail sales manager of Thanh Loc Bamboo and Rattan Company, acknowledged that the pandemic had decreased the overall consumption. Therefore, the organization of this fair help businesses extend their presence and retain product knowledge for domestic customers. Since then, businesses got new ideas to optimize product prices to serve customer, consume goods more easily, businesses have more conditions to overcome the current difficult period.

To stimulate demand for Vietnamese goods

Currently, businesses in Binh Duong as well as in other provinces and cities across the country in sectors, such as industrial production, tourism, transportation, services... are being affected by the Covid-. In which, enterprises in the handicraft industry are facing a decline in production and business. Therefore, the authorities and retail businesses cooperate to introduce handicraft and fine arts industries once again to support the circulation of Vietnamese goods.

An Aeon Mall Binh Duong Canary's representative said that within this program, in addition to direct sales of goods, the center also provided online shopping service and shopping advice on Fan Page of Aeon Mall Binh Duong Canary to stimulate purchasing power. Besides, in order to create novelty and increase interaction with consumers, in addition to selling high-quality handicrafts at reasonable prices, the center also arranged a processing area for visitors to witness firsthand production stages of Binh Duong handicraft products. Through activities to introduce Binh Duong handicrafts, Aeon Mall Binh Duong Canary wished to contribute to raising awareness and changing consumers' habits of using domestic products.

Nguyen Thanh Toan, Director of provincial Department of Industry and Trade, said that since the beginning of this year, the development of the coronavirus had made it difficult for trade promotion activities to take place according to the plan. Therefore, this organization of this Vietnamese goods' market introduced several prominent handicraft products of Binh Duong businesses. This is a trade promotion activity for businesses to introduce products, exchange investment cooperation with domestic and foreign partners to stimulate production and use of Vietnamese goods during the pandemic time. In the coming time, we will continue to carry out trade promotion activities in more diverse forms and products in order to extensively introduce Binh Duong's products. These are also activities to respond to the campaign "Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods".
