Upholding young strength, contributing to building up a more prosperous, beautiful Binh Duong

20 years since the date of the province’s reestablishment, provincial Youth Union have excelled at gathering youths and upholding their strength in socio-economic development, contributing to building up a more prosperous and beautiful homeland.

In the initial period when just being reestablished, Binh Duong faced a lot of issues on social welfare. Hence, the province’s youth task in the period was associated with taking care of locals’ lives, in which housing was a very urgent issue. And the model of “100 charity houses” for Youth Union officials was of great significance for the province during the period. Many other practical movements, namely “Sci-tech application in agricultural production by IPM method”, “Golden hands”…were also organized by provincial Youth Union, contributing to promoting the local socio-economic development.

In the next period, Binh Duong’s economy obtained robust growth. The province generated jobs for more than 40,000 laborers annually, especially for immigrant ones. During the period, provincial Youth Union focused on setting up sub-unions for young workers at lodging facilities; paid more attention to young talents by establishing provincial Support Fund for Young Talents, “Doan Thi Lien” Scholarship Fund…Many administrative units under provincial Youth Union, namely provincial Youth Job Placement Center, provincial Youth Volunteer Squad… were also set up.

Besides, provincial Project on uniting and gathering young workers at lodging facilities was implemented. Provincial Students Association was also set up during the period. Especially, provincial Youth Union Standing advised the province to choice and realize projects in association with caring for young workers’ lives such as those of organizing “provincial Week for Young Workers”, setting up provincial Support Fund for Alien Poor Young Workers, provincial Support Center for Young Workers…

Joining hands in new day construction

From 2012 to 2017, along with the local development, provincial Youth Union has developed numerous new models among youths. They include the models of setting up the “For the sentimental attachment to border areas and islands” Fund; studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals; building houses of compassion for needy youths…

Provincial Youth Union also took care of young workers by practical activities, comprising of the model of “Model youth lodging facility” in TDM city, Thuan An and Di An towns; the “Connecting youths” Club…; organized a lot of volunteer campaigns and festivals for the sake of the community; cared for children via models, consisting of provincial festival for poor-but-excellent children, scholarship funds…

Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of provincial Youth Union said: “2017 is the year with major youth events, including Youth Union Congresses at all levels towards the 10^th provincial Youth Union Congress and the 11^th National Youth Union Congress for the 2017-2022 tenure. Upholding achievements done over the past time, provincial Youth Union will further realize outstanding projects, namely “Improving awareness of the law among youths”, “Uniting, gathering young workers”; bring the resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels to life, improve propaganda activities in both content and form among youths; encourage youths to take part in socio-cultural, economic and political development and national defence; support youths in establishing their position in life, setting themselves up in business; boost a task of uniting and gathering youths, care for teenagers and children…

Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee will also further develop provincial Fund for Young Talents, Fund for Alien Poor Young Workers, scholarships, awards for outstanding youths in all aspects; uphold the role of administrative units under provincial Youth Union at legitimate interests, needs of Youth Union members, children; build up youths who can meet requirements and tasks in the new period, contributing to developing Binh Duong into a first-class city with a goal of improving locals’ materials and spiritual lives.
