Urgently completing provincial planning for 2021-2030, with vision to 2050

On the afternoon of May 8, Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee chaired the 60th meeting of provincial People's Committee, in attendance of members of provincial Party Standing Committee; leader of provincial People's Council.

The meeting approved the following contents: provincial draft planning for the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; draft report and Resolution stipulating spending tasks on environmental protection and support policies for people performing the task of supporting environmental protection at district and commune levels; draft decision approving the list of textbooks for grades 5, 9 and 12 chosen by educational institutions to use from the 2024-2025 school year in the province...

According to the draft, provincial Planning for the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 is considered as an important tool to build and develop Binh Duong, linking development with localities in the Southeastern region, Ho Chi Minh city to become a civilized and modern development area, the leading center of the country and Southeast Asia in economics, finance, education - training, science, technology, innovation, digital transformation...

By 2050, Binh Duong will be a modern, regional and international urban, industrial and service area, one of the locomotives promoting national economic development, with the main growth driver being industry, services and innovation, with a solid economic base and high competitiveness. The local people will have income levels that are similar to those in developed countries. There will be inclusive and harmonious economic development among regions...

Speaking at the meeting, leaders of provincial People's Committee noted that departments, sectors and consulting units should coordinate closely and urgently complete provincial planning for the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; carefully review contents in the field under their management, ensuring feasibility when implementing projects, resolutions, decisions...
