Thuan An City warns of online fraud

Pham Dang Tung, Deputy Director of the Public Administration Service Center of Thuan An City, said that the center is currently actively warning people to be wary of online fraud on LED screens located in front of the center and at single-window divisions of 10 communes and wards of the city.

Through these propaganda screens, people and businesses will understand the online application processes and official sites, such as: national public service portal with domain name https://dichvucong.gov.vn or that of Binh Duong province https://dichvucong.binhduong.gov.vn. Through LED screens, people and businesses are warned against online fraud, such as: fake "Public Service" app; warnings of tricks to request updates to the VNeiD application via links containing malicious code; 24 forms of online fraud for people and businesses to be alert.

Mr. Pham Dang Tung said there are many scammers, impersonating police officers and State agency officials to notify, request additional information, and provide personal information over the phone... People and business organizations should not access, download and install applications on the phone through links of these entities or unofficial channels; Need to access, download and install official applications through Google Play and Apple Store, and check author (developer) information. In addition, when detecting fraudulent websites or fake applications, people need to immediately notify the authorities and warn people around them.
