Useful activities for young workers

During the 2016-2020 period, Tan Uyen town’s Organization for the Project on uniting, gathering young workers organized many activities to raise young workers ‘awareness of the law and take care of their spiritual and material lives, thereby contributing to stabilizing the local order-security and promoting the local socio-economic development.

Efficiency of propaganda improved

After five years of implementing the Project on uniting, gathering young workers, Tan Uyen town set up 271 association branches for young workers, 11 Youth Union branches for young workers, 12 Youth Union branches for alien youths…The town’s communes and wards provided sub-unions and lodging facilities crowded with young workers with 202 legal book bags; opportunely made law dissemination among young worker as well as providing them with useful information relating to employment, healthy recreational places, issues on socio-economic development, order-security…

The town’s Organization for the Project and its branches also organized nearly 360 propaganda shows on national sea and islands for young workers, raising their awareness of national sovereignty over sea and islands while arousing their patriotism, sense of responsibility for national protection and development. In addition, they organized annual training courses on national defence-security for young workers; coordinated with relevant units to make law dissemination and carry out the model of “Journey lighting the faith” in residential areas, at companies, lodging facilities crowded with young workers in Tan Vinh Hiep and Phu Chanh wards; delivered nearly 8,000 propaganda leaflets on crime prevention to locals…

Effective models

On the annual Young Workers ‘Month, Young Workers ‘Week, Tan Uyen town’s Youth Union and Labor Union organized many animated activities, including folk games, contests on driving safely, propaganda programs on traffic safety, football tournaments for young workers, weekend playgrounds for young workers at lodging facilities, free haircut programs for young workers and among others.

The town’s communes, wards also effectively maintained models on gathering young workers during the period. The model of “informal meal” for young workers in wards of Thai Hoa, Tan Hiep, Uyen Hung, Thanh Phuoc every 1 to 3 months was a typical example for this. Under the model, the Youth Unions of the localities coordinated with proprietors, sub-unions for young workers to organize informal meals at weekend. Whilst, Khanh Binh ward also maintained a Khmer traditional dancing club, thereby disseminating the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies, laws among ethnic minority youths.

Nguyen Le Huu Bao, Secretary of Tan Uyen town’s Youth Union said that the town’s Organization Board of the Project will implement a plan on the realization of the Project in the next period; reinforce weak sub-unions for young workers. Members of the town’s Organization Board of the Project will be proactive to make support programs for young workers…. The Organization Boards of the Projects in communes and wards will also make socialization for activities taking care of the spiritual and material lives of young workers…
