VND130mln raised for AO/Dioxin victims

Early August 3, Thuan An town’s Association for Victims of Agent Orange (AO)/Dioxin was established in honor to the Day for Victims of Agent Orange in Vietnam” (August 10).

The whole town is now home to 91 AO/Dioxin victims with the monthly allowance of between VND622,000 and VND2,54mln per person. The town’s Division of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs is still continuing to consider and suggest the province to provide allowances to other AO/Dioxin victims.

It is known that provincial Association for Victims of AO/Dioxin has so far set up its three affiliates in three places, including Phu Giao, Ben Cat districts and Thuan An town.

On this occasion, individuals and collectives in Thuan An town also subscribed VND130mln to the local Fund for AO/Dioxin Victims.
