Voluntary summer started

On July 10, voluntary summer campaign will take place across districts and townships. Voluntary teams on the spot will join in local welfare activities whilst other teams will arrive at remote and rural areas to participate in significant deeds in the neighboring localities. Accordingly, some units have started a voluntary summer campaign.

Readiness of volunteer spirit 

So far most units have planned for the upcoming volunteer summer campaign. In this year, a long-term volunteer team includes 320 youths from Thu Dau Mot University, Binh Duong University of Technology and Economics, Vietnam-Singapore College and provincial Youth Union.

  Phu Giao district youths and unionists weed a route.In preparation for the coming long itinerary, many students are ready and waiting. Student Tran Thi Cam Yen of Binh Duong University of Technology and Economics, said “she took much time to persuade her parents to allow her to join the campaign in remote areas”. Meanwhile, Truong Giang of Thu Dau Mot University, said “my parents support and encourage me to join in the campaign”.

About more 10 days will be the launching ceremony of the campaign, but many units have already launched the event. Accordingly, Phu Giao district steering board of voluntary summer campaign on June 18 held a 2-day blood donation mobilization. In this year, the district will initiate green Sundays across the locality, hold a lighting ceremony at martyrs’ tombs on July 26, plant green trees and collect garbage and clean roads…

Earlier, Long Hoa commune Youth Union in the same district held the 2011 volunteer summer campaign and launched green Sunday on June 12.
