Women in Binh Duong set achievements to celebrate 12th National Women’s Congress

Since early 2017, provincial Women’s Union has launched an emulation movement themed “Women in Binh Duong emulate to set achievements in celebration of the 12^th National Women’s Congress”. Accordingly, many main tasks have been put forward so that the emulation movement is actually a political event with profound significance and pervasion among the local women from all strata.

Great significance from small works

One of meaningful activities done by provincial Women’s Union over the past time was to mobilize members to construct works to set achievements in celebration of Women’s Congresses at all levels towards the 12^th National Women’s Congress for the 2017-2022 tenure. Building houses of compassion and awarding scholarships to poor pupils were the most remarkable movements.

Nguyen Thi Thu Hong, Chairman of provincial Women’s Union said that so far, provincial Women’s Unions at all levels have so far constructed 62 houses of compassion, upgraded 5 houses of compassion, built 2 charity classes for Cambodian children; awarded 534 scholarships, 47 saving books and gifts to poor women; made rural roads…with a total value of more than VND4.6billion or 160% of the set target. Although being small, the above-mentioned activities bear great significance, helping women with difficult circumstance develop home based business and stabilize their lives, needy pupils further pursue their learning…

New tasks…

According to Mrs.Hong, the 10^th provincial Women’s Congress for the 2016-2021 tenure has set master targets, including making solidarity, upholding women’s tradition, potential and creativeness, raising their material-spiritual lives and position; continuing improving operational contents and forms towards grassroots level, implementing appropriate and creative emulation campaigns, movements; attaching special importance to gathering female workers, promoting lodging clubs, building up a strong organization for the goal of gender equality, women’s advancement, contributing to developing Binh Duong into a civilized and modern city…

Hence, many new issues have been set forth after the 10^th provincial Women’s Congress for the 2016-2021 tenure. 2017 is also the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 10^th provincial Women’s Congress for the 2016-2021 tenure and the Resolution of the 12^th National Women’s Congress for the 2017-2022 tenure. In response to the emulation movement themed “Women in Binh Duong emulate to set achievements to celebrate the 12^th National Women’s Congress”, provincial Women’s Unions at all levels will continue promoting emulation movements, namely “Women actively study, creatively work and build happy families”, “Women with four virtues: “self-confidence, self-respect, faithfulness and responsibility”…in association with studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morals and lifestyle. They will also accelerate the campaign of “Building families with 5 Nos, 3 Cleans” which is linked with the emulation movement of “The whole country joining hands in building new rural areas”. One of practical deeds done by them over the past time was to opportunely team up with functional agencies to offer help to members with difficult circumstances

An urgent task at present is to widely and deeply disseminate the Resolution of the 10^th provincial Women’s Union for the 2016-2021 tenure and the Resolution of the 12^th National Women’s Union for the 2017-2022 tenure among all officials and members. Provincial Women’s Unions at all levels also need to diversify suitable forms gathering women, improve operational quality in order to have a strong attachment from women…
