Women’s values honoured

Celebrating 92nd anniversary of Vietnam Women's Union (WU) (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2022) and the 12th Vietnamese Women's Day celebration (October 20, 2010 - October 20, 2022), Women's Unions at all levels in the province carried out many meaningful and practical activities. These activities have shown the responsible and compassionate women’s way of living, reminded us to respect the values of women...

 Over the years, Vietnamese Women's Day on October 20 has become a special day to honor the values of Vietnamese women. Annual celebrations are always an occasion to hail good traditions and women. During the heroic historical process, Vietnamese women have always played an extremely important role and have been making great contributions to the construction and defense of the country.

About activities celebrating October 20 this year, Truong Thanh Nga, Chairwoman of Provincial WU, said that Standing Board of Provincial WU directed grassroots units to focus on extensive propagation of the meaning of this anniversary.

This is an opportunity for women to show their kindness, sense of responsibility, and love to their families and society.

On this occasion, women will also look back on traditions of Vietnamese women and praise excellent examples in historical periods. Thereon, they will more appreciate, be proud of Vietnamese women, and strive to improve ourselves, be worthy of the glorious tradition.

Women's Unions of districts, towns and cities, and Women's Unions of Provincial Police, Provincial Military Command also carried out many activities towards October 20, such as to present home to poor women, give gifts to disadvantaged women… All created an exciting emulation movement within its union network.

Assessing activities of grassroots level from the beginning of October, Standing Committee of Provincial Women's Union said that all levels of WU have upheld the tradition of solidarity, patriotism, creativity, and enhance the emulation movement "Binh Duong women have good healthy, be knowledgeable, creative and responsible", contributing to the effective implementation of emulation movement "Building a new Vietnamese woman in the new era" in association with the campaign of learning and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, and “Family of 5 NOs, 3 CLEANs".

Start-up events, Pink Sundays, markets of 0VND etc. organized by WU at all levels have encouraged members and women to engage in women movements, women startups. In addition, WUs also did diverse and appropriate activities, such as trips returning to the root, expressing gratitude.

Especially, WUs continued to effectively implement the Godmother and Millions of gifts programs launched by the Central Committee of Vietnam Women's Union with contributions amounting to billions of VND.

Many orphans continued to be adopted and sponsored. This is a great effort of the staff and women members in their role of connecting and introducing business owners to support children...
