Youth Union of North Tan Uyen District does Tet care activities for children

To implement Provincial Youth Union's direction on increasing entertainment and Tet care programs for children, North Tan Uyen District Youth Union has promoted socialization and organized many practical activities.

Praise children who overcome difficulties

In recent years, the work of supporting and caring for children having difficult circumstances has always received attention and been regularly carried out by North Tan Uyen District Youth Union. For example, the District Youth Union has coordinated with the District Office of Education and Training to hold a festival for children overcoming difficulties and studying well in 2024.

At the festival, the District Youth Union honored 36 examples of young people overcoming difficulties, actively participating in school and social activities, and following the five things taught by Uncle Ho. During the ceremony, the children listened to touching stories from their peers. These were bright examples that give children the strength to strive and heighten the spirit to overcome difficulties. The title "Children who overcome difficulties and study well" is not only a recognition of their efforts, but also a motivation for them to continue to study and train harder. With the desire to accompany and care for children having difficult circumstances, the District Youth Union and District HYPO Council awarded 10 "Green Dream" scholarships.

This program also included many activities for children to have fun and learn new things, such as: painting exhibition "Children of North Tan Uyen reaching out to the world", contest "Turning the page of golden history", kid model contest "Tet in my homeland". Through these activities, students developed their strengths, abilities, passions, and future work orientation.

Do Ngoc Loi, Youth Union Secretary of North Tan Uyen District, said: “The 2024 festival for children overcoming difficulties and studying well is organized with the purpose of praising children having difficult circumstances excelling in studying, and to continue enhancing emulation movements of Youth Union and HYPO; At the same time, it contributes to the care and education for youngsters and children."

Spring volunteers

Joining the youth’s spirits to organize activities celebrating the Party's achievements and Spring 2024, North Tan Uyen District Youth Union has coordinated with the District Office of Education and Training, Thu Dau Mot University’s Youth Union, and Hannam University (Daejeon city, Korea) to do spring 2024 volunteer activities.

This year is the first year that 63 students of Hannam University performed volunteer works in the district. With enthusiasm, the foreign students took part in and supported children's care program in poor areas of the district. The students painted pictures, taught Korean, fine arts, and Taekwondo martial arts; planted medicinal gardens at primary schools; exchanged and played folk games, experienced Vietnamese culture and awarded scholarships to local disadvantaged students, worth totally 50 million VND.

The success of these activities is meaningful and opens up prospects for solidarity relationships and more practical programs on a larger scale, contributing to cultivating the developing friendly relationship between Binh Duong province and Daejeon city in the future.

During the 2024 Lunar New Year, North Tan Uyen District Youth Union will organize the "Spring Tree" program to give 50 gifts to disadvantaged children in Hieu Liem commune. In addition, the District Youth Union will give 30 gifts to children of disadvantaged workers; at the same time, continue to mobilize resources to care for children celebrating spring...
