Over VND6.82trillion spent on new-style rural construction

Early October 9, Phu Giao district’s Steering Board of National Target Programs held a conference to review the 10-year implementation of the National Target Program on New-Style Rural Construction for the 2010-2020 period.

After 10 years of implementing the program, all communes of the district were recognized as new-style rural ones. The whole district is now home to 177 agricultural farms; 100 models on agricultural production. As of late 2018, there were 99.98% and 100% of households in use of power and clean water. The average income of the local households was VND54.3million per person per year. The number of the local poor households under the province’s poverty line reduced to 133. The district’s health field also received more attention at people’s demand for healthcare. There were 36 out of 37 schools meeting national standards…The district spent more than VND6.82billion on implementing the new-style rural construction program…

On this occasion, the district’s People’s Committee honored 29 collectives, 71 individuals and families with excellent achievements in the emulation movement of “The entire district joining hands in new-style rural construction” for the 2010-2020 period.
