Provincial environmental components improved

According to Department of Natural Resources and Environment, at present, the quality of environmental components in the province has been improved. The monitoring results show that the water quality of Saigon River is still quite good as its water quality index (WQI) ranges from 60 to 92. The concentration of most observed parameters is within the limit as allowed by QCVN 08-MT:2015/BTNMT for category A2 (water used for domestic water supply purposes); however, appropriate treatment measures are needed.

On Thi Tinh and Be rivers, monitoring results show that the concentrations of most observed parameters meet the standard. The water quality of Be River in 2016-2020 has been markedly improved as a number of pollution indicators tended to decrease.
