Diverse activities for employees in May

This year, the Action Month for Labor Safety and Health, Workers’ Month and ceremony to mark the 135th anniversary of International Labor Day are expected to be launched on April 28 in Hanoi. This was revealed at the meeting of the National Steering Committee for the Action Month on Labor safety and Hygiene and Workers’ Month held on April 13 in Hanoi.

The theme of this year’s Action Month on Labor safety and Hygiene is “Strengthening assessment and control over risks of labor safety-hygiene and participation of hygienists”. The Workers ‘Month 2021 will be also held under the theme of "Be solidary, creative, overcome difficulties and develop" with a highlighted program named  "75,000 initiatives to overcome difficulties and develop". Main programs and activities during the Action Month on Labor Safety and Hygiene, Workers’ Month will be implemented by many forms with diverse contents. Accordingly, trade unions at all levels will organize programs on "Listening - Understanding - Sharing", "Thank for workers".

The programs are the opportunity for employees to express their thoughts and aspirations, contributing to the development of enterprises while showing respect for employees and recognizing them as the precious assets of enterprises.

In response to this year’s Action Month on Labor Safety and Hygiene, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) will hold a dialogue between the National Council on Labor Safety and Hygiene with businesses on lifting equipment, combining with a dialogue with special subject pertaining to training and testing of safety for hygienists. In addition, the MoLISA will inspect the observance of regulations on labor, labor safety and hygiene in businesses, construction contractors in Ho Chi Minh city, Khanh Hoa, Hanoi, Binh Duong, Quang Ninh, Phu Tho, Thanh Hoa.

During the Action Month on Labor Safety and Hygiene, the Ministry of Health will organize delegations to inspect Covid-19 prevention-control at enterprises,  industrial parks in 13 provinces and cities; inspect over Covid-19 prevention-control, labor safety and hygiene, prevention of occupational diseases at some production and business facilities and units in the healthcare sector.

Social welfare activities, including  visiting  and  giving gifts for laborers hit by occupational diseases, labor accidents with difficult circumstances…will be also strengthened during the Workers ‘Month, Action Month on Labor Safety and Hygiene.
