15 years of re-establishment - remarkable events

1.   The local Party Committee, authority, and people of Binh Duong Province made breakthroughs by promoting heroic tradition and legacy of formerly Song Be Province.

After 15 years, economy has been constantly developed in the face of high rate of industrialization and urbanization to integrate into global economy as a locality in the Southern region. Total production value is increased 6.5 times higher than 1997 with changing economic structure of industry, services and agriculture.

2.  Income per capita is multiplied ever since 1997, reaching VND 36.9 million after 15 years.  

3. Non-stop industry development is made thanks to reforms of local Party Committee and authority regarding industry development. Successful industrial parks in the Southern area are proof of success supporting 28 industrial parks and 8 clusters covering nearly 10,000 hectares. Besides, the complex of industry – services and urban covering 4,196 hectares will attract more investment and speed up local industrialization, modernization, and urbanization. 

 4. 13,000 domestic investment projects at totally 91,000 billion VND of registered capital and 2,000 foreign investment projects at totally 14.580 billion USD are major increases from 1997. 

5.    After 15 years, industry in Binh Duong Province was thoroughly developed in terms of scale and sustainablity in integration into services, urban development and environment protection. Industrial production value increased by 31 times higher than 1997.

 6.Trade and services is second best economic sector, playing more and more important role in economic development of Binh Duong Province. This sector is accounted for 33.7% of provincial GDP. 

 7.     Education cause is developed in a manner that quality is enhanced and quantity of attending students is ensured. Binh Duong Province is certified as a national-standard illiteracy eradication locality with elementary education universialization and by 2004 certified as junior high school universialization. By now 72 over 91 communes, wards and townlets have been certified with the same standard 

 8. As for public healthcare, equipments were invested into and developed across the healthcaring network. By now, 100% health clinics have medicine doctors while nurses are dispatched across 88 standardized clinics in 91 communes.

 9.  Gratitude visit and cares for privileged households, heroic mothers, martyrs’ families, war invalids, families in poverty, people devoted to revolutionary cause, and alone people have been maintained. Ever since 1997, 4,383 charity houses have been built and/or repaired at the cost of 72 billion VND; 5,856 unity houses have been built at the cost of 67 billion VND.

 10.  Party Committee build-up is taken care by all-level committees to enhance power and organization of the Party and its members, contributing to success of political targets and people unity in the stage of economic development of a united people and nation of security.
