230 outstanding HCMYPO members honored

Early August 16, provincial Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization (HCMYPO) held a ceremony to open the 21^st provincial Congress of Uncle Ho’s obedient children 2018, in attendance of Nguyen Van Loc, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Public Relations; Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

At the congress, provincial HCMYPO reported on results done in the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 academic years. In the last two academic years, provincial HCMYPO effectively launched the “Small plan” movement, absorbing numerous HCMYPO members. The movement contributed to building 6 “red scarf” houses worth VND300million and 6 recreational areas for children worth more than VND500million. Provincial HCMYPO also well implemented the “Voluntary pink scarf” program for workers’ offspring at charity classes, lodging facilities with such significant activities as carrying out nearly 200 “For beloved juniors” works; organizing 30 charity classes; awarding scholarships, gifts to poor HCMYPO members with good academic results…

On this occasion, 230 outstanding HCMYPO members in the last two academic years were awarded the certificates of merit. Prior to that, provincial HCMYPO held a delegation to visit provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery, Yakult Vietnam Factory, Minh Long Porcelain I Co.Ltd. and take part in the “Tani knight” exchange program. It is known that after the congress, 76 outstanding HCMYPO members nationwide will take part in a return-to-the roof program in Ha Noi.
