Debate over social house and flooding heats up

Opening the question-and-answer session, the local Construction Department director Tran Van Dung replied voters’ petitions and deputies’ questions relating to buildings of social houses and kindergartens… Dung said that the provincial administration has issued program of social house development for the 2011-2015 period and spent 1.75mil sqm to meet accommodation demand for 150,000-160,000 people.

Relating to flooding at some urban areas, the department said that the unit has set out measures and plans to solve the flooding.

Environmental pollution should be solved drastically

Replying voters’ petitions, Pham Danh, director of the local department of Environment and Natural Resources, said the department has made efforts to solve problems of environmental pollution. Accordingly, the department often inspects and solves violations of environmental pollution.

In addition, a list of polluting units that are forced to remove from residential areas will be submitted to the local People’s Committee by the end of this month.    

Regarding transport field, the local Transport Department director Tran Van Thay, affirmed the department asked Tan Uyen district Public Work Factory to switch on lighting system at night at Thu Bien Bridge. Some deputies questioned Thay about progress of My Phuoc-Tan Van route, Nguyen Thi Minh road and April 30 road, repair at some routes in Thuan An town and so on.

Thay answered, My Phuoc-Tan Van road will complete by 2014 and April 30 road will be completed within 3 months after sire clearance. He pledged to answer deputies directly the remaining issues.

Foot-mouth disease epidemic under scrutiny

The local Health department director Luc Duy Lac explained stagnancy of medical works and affirmed foot-mouth disease epidemic in the province is under scrutiny.

Serious settlement for companies with social insurance debts

As for debts of social insurance from some companies, the local department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Phan Thanh Son, explained the unit would spur inspections and settlements for companies owing social insurance fees.

For laborers’ rights and interests, he affirmed that working overtime is not the main reason of strikes and go-slows. The main reason is that some companies do not ensure rights and interests of laborers.

Concluding the question-answer session, Vu Minh Sang highly valued working spirit of deputies for voters’ petitions.
