Accompanying young workers

During the Workers ‘Month 2020, provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has attached special importance to implementing support models, solutions for young workers at industrial parks and lodging facilities, contributing to improving their spiritual and material lives.

Accordingly, provincial Youth Union has been proactive to coordinate with the local sector of labor, war invalids and social affairs, enterprises to map out support methods for jobless young workers; help them approach support packages under the Government’s Resolution No.42/NQ-CP on supporting people facing difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Provincial Youth Unions at all levels will attach special importance to offering gifts to workers at lodging facilities during the Workers ‘Month 2020

Provincial Youth Unions at all levels will also further mobilize proprietors to make rent fee exemption for young workers; offer necessities to them, helping stabilize their lives and improve the effectiveness of Covid-19 prevention and control.

Tran Bao Lam, Vice-Secretary of provincial Youth Union said that provincial Youth Unions at all levels will focus on organizing a “giving strength to laborers” program; mobilize enterprises in and out of the province to carry out rice ATMs, “market-day selling goods with basic prices for young workers” and “supermarket with zero dong” programs…They will also ensure propaganda activities on Covid-19 prevention and control among workers.

In addition, they will be proactive to work with enterprises, business households to recheck a list of seasonal, part-time and online jobs and then inform young workers of the list. Accordingly, they will team up with relevant units to support jobless young workers in changing to other skills and attend short-term vocational training courses to be able to immediately seek jobs after being trained. Many other support activities on employment creation will be realized for jobless young workers.

According to Mr.Lam, district-level Youth Union will focus on visiting, offering gifts to Youth Union members and young workers with difficult circumstances while considering and giving them support packages from provincial Support Fund for Poor Young Workers….
