Anniversary meeting to mark 85th year of Communist Party of Vietnam

In the jubilant atmosphere of welcoming the New Year 2015 and preparation for Tet Holiday, early February 3, along with the Party and the people’s military, Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee solemnly held an anniversary meeting to mark 85^th year of Communist Party of Vietnam (February 03, 1930 to February 03, 2015) and welcome of Tet Holiday 2015 (Year of the Goat)

Attending the meeting was Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, former Politburo Member and former President of Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Mr. Mai The Trung, Member of Central Committee of CPV, Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, and Head of Binh Duong Provincial National Assembly Delegation together with leaders of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee, heroic mothers, all-time provincial leaders, and leaders of sectors, departments, armed forces, youth’s league, etc.

On the date 85 years ago, Nguyen Ai Quoc, on behalf of The Communist International (Comintern), merged communist organizations in Vietnam to establish Communist Party of Vietnam. Addressing the meeting, Mr. Mai The Trung delivered a speech specifying the inevitable establishment of a Party by combining Marxism-Leninism with worker movements nad patriotism to become the major historical event determining national revolutionary cause, ending the crisis of nation saving pathway, and confirming the unanimously agreed leadership of a leading party.

As a locality of patriots in the opening stage with a lot of workers at ceramic factories, railway workshops, and rubber plantations established ever since 1930, worker movements in Thu Dau Mot, through patriotism and national worker movement, had been developed across its grassroots such as Di An Train Depot, Binh Nham, etc. Under leadership of communist organizations at the time, many public organizations had been established to fight back the colonists and farcists in the locality.

After August Revolution, the French Colony re-evaded the nation before being replaced by the US Army practising the new colonized zone in the South of Vietnam. Thu Dau Mot Province of Binh Duong had always been the fierce battle field of local forces and the enemies. By the sustain spirit and leadership of the Party, local forces of Thu Dau Mot overcome years of heroic fights to contribute to the grand victory in 1975 of the nation.

“Inheriting the legacy and promoting the heroism in wartime and achivements of Song Be Province in preliminary construction, in 18 years from the date of re-establishment, Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, upholding the Party doctrine and policies and the State’s organization, has overcome challenges and drawbacks to create public unity to make an urbanized and industrialized province out of Binh Duong Province in the major economic zone of the South of Vietnam in the stage of gradual integration to global economy and constributions to common national achievements. Revolutionary activities of Vietnam have been contributed by Song Be – Binh Duong Party Committee to fight for people’s independence and evolving to socialism. The past achievements of the province have been built and promoted by the sacrifices and determined spirits for benefits and happiness of the people,” said Mai The Trung in his speech which stated achievements and unachieved targets in 2014 while pointing out major duties of 5-year socio-economic plan from 2016 to 2020. Beforehand, the 2015 plan and socio-economic development plan from 2011 to 2015 would be focused for success.

The firm efforts have created significant achievements to affirm the fact that local Party Committee and people have promoted legacy and historical values to move forward. Facing the new opportunities, local Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee are aiming for success under the glorious leadership of the Party.
