Update: 03-02-2015 | 12:56:33

In 85 years from the date of establishment, Communist Party of Vietnam has led the revolutionary activities to victories. Generations of members, upholding patriotism, have fought to retrieve independence, sovereignty ownership, and nation unification. For today, younger generations of Party members in Binh Duong Province keep on with the excellent revolutionary cause of the forefathers.

* Mr. NGUYEN NGOC CHAN, former Provincial Party Committee member, former Deputy Chair of Song Be Provincial People’s Committee (1981-1986), entitled of 65-year Party member medal:

“I am delight at developing province out of Binh Duong”

“I was born and grew up in war which had soon made me to join revolutionary activities at schooling age. In 1945, I joined the pre-revolutionary activities by keeping mail and information link for revolutionary officers. On daily basis, I witnessed fires and people capturing. I kept on with the spirit of fighting back. From 1946 to 1966, I was assigned to learning at Hubei University of China. In 1968, I joined the anti-raid movements. In 1986, I worked as a provincial Party Committee member and Deputy Chair of Song Be Provincial People’s Committee with efforts and endeavours to overcome difficulties and implement the reforms. I am so happy as a 65-year Party member to see Binh Duong as today on its growing pathway and people are cherishing better lives. Veterans like us are so happy to witness the development just as we had been very proud of our fighting for people’s independence and well-off lives.

* Mr. PHAN HONG NGHIA (a.k.a Phan Hong Doan), former member of Standing Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, former Deputy Chair of provincial People’s Committee (1994 -2004), entitled 55-year Party member medal:

“We had fought relentlessly for the nation.”

In 1959, I was admitted to Labor Youth’s Union of Vietnam and by the end of 1959, I was holding the position of Phuoc Hoa Commune Youth’s Union Secretary in Phu Giao. In 1960, I was honorably admitted to the Party. At the time, to be admitted, I had made my best efforts through challenges and tests. Also in 1959, the 10/59 Act of the US Army and its puppet government was in force to terrorize revolutionists by guillotine. Many had been brutally killed. And, in the peak of war, the Party organization was refined to fight back. At the time, we were so enthusiastic to join the fighting back movements by challenging one another the title of US elimination. In a short time, the title was popular amongst us who had shot down enemy’s planes and tanks. We had fought by the utmost spirit of the nation and a yearning wish for peace and nation unification.

At 14, I joined the revolutionary movements in Quang Nam before tracing to battle fields of Tay Nguyen (the middle land of Vietnam) and Dong Nam Bo and the Mekong Delta. In peacetime, I held the position of Head of Military Policy of Song Be Provincial Military HQ. In 35 years working for the army, I was awarded 14 medals including the Third Rank Independence Decoration in 1975, the Third Rank Military Contribution Decoration, the Second Rank Military Achievement, the First Rank Resistance Decoration, and many others.
