Ceremony to announce decision on recognizing Di An as second-class city under Binh Duong held

On the afternoon of April 27, Di An city’s Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee solemnly held a ceremony to announce a decision on recognizing Di An city as a second-class city under Binh Duong province.

The ceremony was attended by former Politburo member, former State President Nguyen Minh Triet; Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van. For Binh Duong province, there were Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation; Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee; Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee; leaders of Song Be province, Binh Duong province and Di An city over periods; heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroes of people’s armed forces, revolutionary veterans; people from all strata of Di An city.

At the ceremony, Di An city was honored to receive the Prime Minister's decision to recognize it as a grade II city under Binh Duong province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van spoke highly the efforts and results done by the Party, government and people of Di An city while wishing Di An city strong development in the coming time.

At the ceremony, Mr. Minh congratulated Di An city on meeting standards of a second-class city. He also noted that Di An city should focus on improving the quality of planning and planning management; developing urban areas in association with urban economic development towards the construction of industrial - service - agricultural urban areas; well implementing the Politburo’s Resolution No. 06-NQ/TW dated January 24, 2022 on planning, construction, management and sustainable development of urban areas in Vietnam to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

Mr. Minh suggested that in the coming time, Di An city will continue effectively implementing Di An city’s Party Committee’s breakthrough program on developing trade and high-quality services in the 2016-2022 period, with a vision to 2025 and the program to develop high-quality services at the requirements of industrial and urban development towards civilization and modernity in the 2021-2025 period, with an orientation to 2025-2030 and a vision to 2045.
