Di An town to be third class urban area by 2015

In the 2011-2015 period and vision to 2020, Di An town will strive to reach the third class urban title. This is one of 3 action plans that the town party committee set out.

Over the past years, by efforts of the town party committee, authority and people, the town infrastructure facility has been formed up modernly. However, some shortcomings remain existent. Owing to rapid urbanization and asynchronous cooperation, the quality of urban works is declined.

In addition, the State management on land, environment and construction remains restrictions. Unprompted residential areas affected urban planning and development.

Eyeing a civilized and modern urban area

The town will focus all sources on urban development to reach the third class urban title by 2015 and to be a district of Binh Duong city.

Initially, the town will concentrate on urban planning and architecture and improve quality of planning assessment and approval. The town will choose Di An ward as a urban center linking with wards and Thu Duc district, district 9 of HCMC and Bien Hoa city’s Dong Nai province.

One of important measures in the period and vision is economic and social infrastructure construction, focusing on traffic network, water supply, lighting, handicraft, trade-service…

Di An will spur investors to invest in housing areas in Tan Dong Hiep, Tan Binh and Binh An wards. The locality strives to reach 60% of workers enjoying houses by 2015. Meanwhile, fields of healthcare, sport and so on will be reinforced to satisfy local people’s demand.
