Focusing on rapid and sustainable industrial development

The provincial People’s Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung yesterday chaired a meeting to sum up a program on rapid and sustainable industrial development for the 2006-2010 period.

To ensure industrial development in quantity and quality and environmental protection, the program has over the past 4 years reached remarkable results with industrial production value of 19.9%/year, IT application rate of 26.7%, and an industrial export turnover of 22.2%/year, trained laborer rate of 60%... Besides, there were some shortcomings of manpower…

At the meeting, Cung asked relevant agencies to draw experience from the program and to set out better measures. Accordingly, he suggested the units to focus on quality and quantity in industrial development, concentrate on auxiliary industrial development, improve investment environment, enhance quality of manpower and support trade promotion…
