Emulation movement of “following Uncle Ho” effectively in Party Committee for provincial bodies

 “The theme of anti-wastefulness and fighting corruption and red-tape among people and officials have contributed much to activities of Party cells and quality of Party members,” said Mr. Nguyen Van Lieu, Secretary of Party Committee for provincial bodies, cum head of the movement. The movement has made significant changes in working style of the cadres in helping the public with paperwork

 In anti-wastefulness and fighting corruption and red-tape, on monthly basis, the provicial bodies save up to VND 5-30 million of power. Meantimes, administrative procedures are reformed by applying managing technology to reduce burdens on enterprises and the public and minimize power abuse.

 Over 95% of the public has attended to the emulation movement of “following Uncle Ho”, opening up friendly environment for criticism and self-criticism.

 A lesson learned was that the movement should be kick started by the chief of a particular unit which prompted others to follow, otherwise the movement was formalistic only.
