Striving to reach VND70-80mil/ha/year

The provincial People’s Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung just chaired a meeting to ratify a program of agricultural structure shift in line with urban and hi-tech agriculture development and processing industry for the 2011-2015 period.

The program is to build an overall agriculture with high competition and hi-tech production, to spur hi-tech agriculture application and urban agriculture in a bid to tap efficiency of agricultural land, place jobs for rural laborers and meet demand on food and eco-environment for residents.

Till 2015, the locality will strive to reach VND70-80mil/ha/year in agricultural production value, VND150-200mil/ha/year in hi-tech agriculture and develop 1,000ha of hi-tech agricultural areas and 1,500ha of orchards…

Concluding the meeting, Cung said that hi-tech agricultural development should be paid attention to urban agricultural development, new rural building, proper planning…
