Get-together to celebrate 73-year tradition of Vietnam’s youth volunteer force held

Early July 14, provincial Association of Former Youth Volunteers coordinated with provincial Youth Union Standing Committee to organize a get-together to mark the 73^rd anniversary of Traditional Day of Vietnam Youth Volunteer Force (July 15, 1950- July 15,2020) and the 18^th founding anniversary of  provincial Association of Former Youth Volunteers  (August 8, 2005 - August 8, 2023).

At the get-together, delegates together reviewed the history of birth, meaning, traditions and milestones of the Vietnam Youth Volunteer Force during the past 73 years and looked back at the 18 years of establishment of provincial Association of Former Youth Volunteers. Over the past 18 years, provincial Associations of Former Youth Volunteers at all levels received the attention of provincial Party Committee, People's Committee, departments and mass organizations at all levels to take care of their lives and offer help to members in need of housing. Accordingly, nearly 500 members received free medical examination and treatment; enjoyed regimes and policies. Provincial Associations of Former Youth Volunteers at all levels also built or repaired houses of comradeship and solidarity for 100 members. In addition, they contributed nearly VND2 billion to the "Comradeship" fund, providing loans  for members to increase production, improve family life; promoted the movement of raising piggy banks, established funds to visit members when they get sick.

On this occasion, provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and the Steering Committee of provincial Youth Volunteer Force implemented the signing program for the period of 2023-2025; awarded 73 gifts as tribute to former officers of the local youth volunteer force, Youth Union cadres who have made many contributions to the association's work and former members of the local youth volunteer force...
