A meeting was held in Ho Chi Minh City on Feb. 1 to celebrate the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) 81st founding day (Feb. 3).
Addressing the event, Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Le Thanh Hai said over the last 81 years, the CPV has led the Vietnamese people to carry out longlasting and challenging revolutionary struggles to overcome difficulties and gain victory.
Both current and future generations always keep in mind the great merit of late President Ho Chi Minh, the founder and leader of the CPV, as well as being grateful to fallen soldiers and those who devoted their life and rendered their service to the country’s independence and unification.
On the occasion, Party Secretary Le Thanh Hai, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan and other leaders visited the museums of President Ho Chi Minh and President Ton Duc Thang.
They also laid a wreath and burnt incense to commemorate fallen soldiers at the city’s Fallen Soldiers Cemetery .
On the occasion of the traditional Lunar New Year, Party Secretary Le Thanh Hai led a delegation to offer incense and traditional cakes in commemoration of the nation’s legendary founder, Hung Kings, at their Den Thuong temple in District 9./.
