Over the past time, the task of mobilizing female civil servants, public employees and workers in the province has had good changes in content and form of activities, and the quality has been improved. The establishment, consolidation, and improvement of the quality and operational efficiency of Public Women's Affair Boards are focused on and done by all levels of trade unions in the province.

Grassroots trade union of Motomotion Company (Ben Cat Town) give gifts on March 8 to women union members.

Pay attention to women's policies

Binh Duong currently has nearly 1.3 million workers, of which about 56% are women workers. With this characteristic, trade unions at all levels in the province have gradually improved the quality of Women's Affair Boards. Namely, up to now, the whole province has 2,971 grassroots trade unions out of a total of 3,145 unions qualified to establish a Women's Affair Board. Many Women's Affair Boards have clearly promoted their competence and tasks in developing plans for women's programs of their units and enterprises.

Some local Labor Confederations of Tan Uyen City, Thuan An City, Di An City, Ben Cat Town... have done well in checking and monitoring regimes and policies for female workers; promptly resolve or reflect problems and recommendations to the government and trade unions, especially maternity benefits. Every year, the upper level of grassroots trade unions holds conferences and seminars to learn about and grasp the thoughts, aspirations, opinions and suggestions of female union members and workers, find timely solutions, such as: policy to support women workers, organize activities for women workers on big holidays, March 8 and October 20 every year.

Le Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of Tan Uyen City Labor Confederation, said that Confederation of Labor of Tan Uyen City directed grassroots trade unions to effectively implement women's affairs, creating conditions for women workers to work, study, improve their professional qualifications, and fulfill their rights and obligations well. At the same time, Women's Affair Boards organized, guided and encouraged female union members to work, study, thoroughly grasp or participate in gender-specific activities according to their functions and tasks.

Activities for women workers

This activity also helps Women's Affair Boards improve their professional skills for women's activities, enhance the board’s advisory role to Executive Committees of grassroots Trade Unions to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of women workers according to provisions of law, especially the propaganda of the Party's policies, the State’s laws, and trade union’s regulations related to women workers through dissemination of Law on Marriage and Family, Law on Gender equality, Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control; organize seminars and talks on gender equality...

In its tasks, Women's Affair Boards of grassroots trade unions also need to diversify forms of women's activities, such as: discussions, get-togethers, and forums and thematic activities to attract the participation of a large number of female employees.
