On April 27, the Provincial Party Propaganda Education Committee in collaboration with Người Lao Động Newspaper and Tan Uyen Town Party Committee held a ceremony to award flags and inaugurate the "National Flag Street " in Tan Uyen Town. Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Provincial Party Member, Head of the Provincial Party Propaganda Education Committee, attended the ceremony.
Accordingly, heads of Người Lao Động Newspaper presented 5,000 national flags to Tan Uyen Town to carry out the project "National Flag Street", which was a part of the program "One million national flags together with fishermen clinging to the sea", with the aim of creating a solemn and beautiful face for local streets. In addition, the project aimed to mobilize people to fly the national flag on big holidays and new year to celebrate the country's major anniversaries.
In order to officially put into use the "National Flag Street" on occasion of the 47th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, Reunification of the country (April 30th 1975 - April 30th 2022), 136th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1st 1886 - May 1st 2022) and 47th anniversary of Tan Uyen Liberation Day (April 29th 1975 - April 29th 2022), organizing committee of the program inaugurated the "Fatherland Flag Street" in Bach Dang commune. This activity contributed to improving national pride, sense of responsibility of each citizen on patriotic traditions, and to propagate, educate the young generation on the deep and sacred meaning of the national flag.
