Interdisciplinary Monitoring Mission of the Global Fund for HIV / AIDS Prevention and Control works in Binh Duong

On September 4 and 5-9, the inter-ministerial supervision mission of the Global Fund for HIV / AIDS Prevention Project was led by Professor, Academician Dang Vu Minh, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations came to examine the activities of the subproject "Enhancing the participation of communities and social organizations in the fight against HIV / AIDS" in Binh Duong.

The monitoring team worked with the Binh Duong Center for Disease Control, the "Crescent" group to support community-based HIV / AIDS and the Center for Quality of Life (LIFE) Binh Duong. The content of supervision includes the implementation of project activities; financial supervision of bookkeeping, accounting and financial vouchers; supervise report implementation and results of intervention activities. The purpose of the monitoring mission is to capture the results of the project activities in Binh Duong and the project-supported livelihood development.

The Global Fund to Fight HIV / AIDS aims to reduce HIV transmission, reduce deaths and improve the quality of life of HIV infected and affected people in 10 provinces and cities implementing the project through improving capacity building and strengthening the participation of communities and social organizations in the National Program on HIV / AIDS Prevention. The project focuses on the establishment and expansion of essential preventive services packages for high-risk groups in the community; expand and improve treatment, care, support and maximize preventive benefits of HIV antiretroviral drugs in the community and in closed settings.
