Many goals reach and surpass in 2011

At the meeting, the provincial People’s Committee vice chairman Tran Van Nam reported local situation of socio-economy and national defense and security in 2011 and said that the done results in 2011is an overall achievement. Most of important goals reach and surpass with industrial production value of VND123,000bil. Some sectors including paper, chemical, rubber, textile, electric equipment and so on obtain a fair growth.

Local and foreign investment attraction reaches remarkable results. As of the end of Nov. 2011, the entire province attracts US$889mil with 76 new foreign projects, capitalized at US$408mil, lifting the total foreign projects up to over US414.5bil whilst new local projects reach VND26,300bil.

Local trade and service win a significant growth. Accordingly, the province focuses on bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas and industrial parks to cater for laborers. Now, supermarkets and retail groups are in good business in the province.

Local export turnover reaches $10.3bil, a 21.1% increase from the same period last year. Decentralization of construction investment helps localities allocate capital and improve efficiency and so on.

Local budget for education jumps 20% with 72 out of 91 communes, wards and townships recognized as high school universalization standards whilst over 46,000 people enjoy stable jobs.

Aside from reports and documents relating to many areas, the session will collect ideas from deputies and answer voters’ petitions.
