Medical examination and treatment sites using chip-based citizen identification cards deployed

On January 4, the Provincial General Hospital held an opening ceremony to deploy a model of medical examination and treatment sites using chip-based citizen identification cards, instead of health insurance cards, to declare residency; register, activate an electronic identity account. The ceremony was attended by Major General Le Minh Hieu, Deputy Director of Department C06 under the Ministry of Public Security; leaders of Binh Duong Provincial Police, Department of Health.

Nguyen Hong Chuong, Director of Provincial Department of Health, said that medical branch held this ceremony to inform officials and people participating in medical examination and treatment about the benefits of digital transformation.

In addition, the selection of the Provincial General Hospital as a model for other medical units in the province to meet the goals, requirements and progress set out under the "45 days and nights" plan “Performing tasks of the Project on Development of Data Application on Population, Identity and Electronic Authentication for National Digital Transformation 2022-2025 in the province.

In the coming time, medical authorities set a target that 100% of medical examination and treatment facilities use chip-based ID cards instead of health insurance cards.

Major General Le Minh Hieu said PC06 will stand side by side and support the medical sector to quickly implement procedures to ensure people's rights. This is considered a political task for the benefit of all people. The rapid implementation of digital transformation will succeed in building a smart hospital model in the shortest time.
