Mitani Sangyo seeking for investments in Binh Duong province

On the afternoon of July 6, Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the CPV Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Head of the provincial National Assembly Delegation hosted a reception for Mitani Mitsuru - Special Advisor of Mitani Sangyo Corporation (Japan) and President of Hokuriku Vietnam Business Promotion Association and members of the delegation visiting and working in Binh Duong. Attending the meeting was Mai Hung Dung, Standing Member of the provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee.

At the meeting, Nguyen Van Loi expressed his pleasure to meet Mitani Mitsuru again, and at the same time, sincerely thanked Mitani Mitsuru and Mitani Sangyo Group for their thoughtful welcome and support in organizing the Investment Promotion Conference in the business trip of Binh Duong province's leaders to Ishikawa province last June. Nguyen Van Loi gave an overview of Binh Duong province as well as the socio-economic development situation, the potentials and advantages of the province.

Accordingly, the province has more than 4,000 investment projects from 65 countries and territories by June 2023 with a total registered capital of more than USD 40 billion, ranking second in the country in terms of attracting foreign investment capital after Ho Chi Minh city. Japan ranks second among countries and territories with investment projects in Binh Duong with 344 projects at a total registered capital of USD 5 billion 897 million.

Nguyen Van Loi hoped that with the strength of technology, finance, international market network and management skills of Mitani Sangyo Group in combination with Binh Duong's advantages would bring great benefits for both sides. Nguyen Van Loi said Binh Duong province is committed to always stand by businesses in general and Mitani Sangyo Group in particular, and at the same time, create the most favorable conditions for production and business activities of manufacturers under the foreign investments.

Mitani Mitsuru discussed with provincial leaders on a number of related matters of training high-quality human resources, skilled workers, and investment promotion support. Mitani Mitsuru said that a business delegation from Ishikawa province will come to Vietnam to look for investment opportunities in November on which occasion they will visit Binh Duong to survey and learn about the investment environment.

Earlier, in the morning of the same day, Mitani Mitsuru and members of the delegation had a working session with Becamex IDC to discuss a number of areas of interest and possible investment cooperation.
