Model on collecting bottles and packaging of plant protection drugs under review

Provincial Farmers' Association has just coordinated with the People's Committee of North Tan Uyen district to review the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association’s project on building a model of "Farmers' Association participating in collecting pesticide bottles and packaging" in Hieu Liem commune.

Implementing the project's items over the past 4 months, provincial People's Association coordinated with the locality to organize a training conference on environmental protection, the harmful effects of solid waste, domestic waste, and pesticide packaging waste in agricultural production on the environment and human health; made 12 propaganda articles on environmental protection by radio.

During the process of implementing the project, the association supported 20 waste storage tanks, 10 containers for household waste and 1,000 plastic bags containing pesticide bottles, packaging, etc. The Farmers’ Association of Hieu Liem commune also propagandized and mobilized members and farmers to regularly clean their houses and orchards; participate in the movement of general sanitation of village roads and alleys, protecting the green - clean - beautiful environment; collect after-use packaging to the right place, ensuring rural environmental sanitation.
