Nearly VND 3.5 billion allocated for province-level scientific technological projects

On the morning of August 1, Mr. Dang Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee, chaired six-month sum-up meeting of Binh Duong Provincial Scientific Technological Development Fund (photo).

According to report of the fund’s Management Board, charter capital of the fund is VND 115.6 billion allocated from state budget. Its estimated recurrent budget for 2017 is VND 304 million; non-recurrent budget allocated to province-level scientific technological projects is VND 18 billion.

In the first 6 months of 2017, the fund provided nearly VND 3.5 billion for province-level scientific technological projects. In addition, the fund is consulting and evaluating 2 loan borrowing projects and instructing 3 enterprises to make loan applications for renewing production technology. In the last 6 months of 2017, the fund will continue to fund the implementation of scientific and technological projects and tasks according to the registered list; recover principal under loan contracts; complete records and disburse capital to projects, enterprises applying for loans... 

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Dang Minh Hung asked the fund’s Management Board to continue promoting the role and efficiency of funding, lending, loan guarantee and supporting provincial scientific and technological capacity heightening. In addition, the fund’s Management Board should review, supplement and amend its charter on organization and operation of the fund; report difficulties during implementation of raising loan levels and guaranteeing annual loans.
