Provincial leader receives delegation of Shanghai University of Transport

Early June 4, Mai Hung Dung, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Pernament Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee had a meeting with a delegation from Shanghai University of Transport (China), led by Professor Li Dexiao. Accompanying the delegation was Phuong Thien Diep, Deputy General Director of the Shanghai Technology Exchange.

At the meeting, Mr. Dung provided an overview of the province's socio-economic development and the direction of Binh Duong smart city development. With an open and attractive investment environment, Binh Duong has been among the country’s leading localities in attracting foreign direct investment. The province is allocating significant resources to develop Industry 4.0, digital transformation, building a green ecosystem, promoting green growth…Currently, the province is striving to become a center for training and supplying high-quality human resources for the Southern Key Economic Region. Therefore, the experience and support from long-established, reputable, and well-branded universities are crucial for the province to effectively achieve this mission. Additionally, Binh Duong aims at learning about scientific and technological development solutions towards sustainable development, creating breakthrough advancements for the locality in the coming time.

The delegation from Shanghai University of Transport thanked provincial leaders for their warm reception and expressed their impression of Binh Duong's strong development. Therefore, through this working visit, Shanghai University of Transport and its partner, the Shanghai Technology Exchange, wish to seek investment opportunities in the province to achieve sustainable development based on the application of high-tech science and technology in the coming time.
