Provincial leader receives Malaysian Consul General

November 16, Commissioner of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee, local Party Committee Secretary Mai The Trung received Malaysian Consul General Shazryll bin Zahiran on a visiting diplomat trip to Binh Duong Province after being assigned.

Mr. Mai The Trung has briefed through economic situations and development potentials of Binh Duong Province in the stage of industrialization and modernization. In 15 years of development, Binh Duong Province has overcome all obstacles to rapidly develop the economy in a sustainable manner by nonstop environment improvement for investment.

By now, of over 14 billion US dollars registered as FDI in Binh Duong, Malaysian corporations are accounted for over 1.15 billion US dollars through about 80 projects and ranked fourth after investors of Taiwan, South Korea and Japan. Local Secretary Mai The Trung highly appreciated production and business effectiveness which have greatly contributed to general development of Binh Duong Province.

Local leader also extended his words to the Consul General and wished that partnership of Malaysia and Vietnam to be promoted.

As for investment into Binh Duong Province, he hoped that the Consul General will recommend investment evironment of the province to Malaysian businesses as parts of investment luring and cooperation in some fields.

Mr. Shazryll bin Zahiran thanked provincial leader for facilitating production and operation of Malaysian enterprises and promised to promote relationship of both countries as well as recommending Malaysian businesses to invest into Binh Duong Province. Mr. Shazryll bin Zahiran also shared experience of investment promotion and wished Binh Duong Province to gain new success for the time to come.
