Provincial Red Cross supports medical treatment of poor people

On August 21, Nguyen Thi Le Trinh, Chairwoman of Provincial Red Cross Association; and representatives of Thu Dau Mot Red Cross visited and donated medical expenses to Phan Thanh Dien, Red Cross member of Provincial Blind Association.

Dien is currently working at Provincial Association of the Blind. Unfortunately, he has a serious illness. His family situation is also very difficult. In order to support Dien’s medical treatment, Provincial Red Cross Association gave him 10 million VND and necessities.

On behalf of the delegation, Nguyen Thi Le Trinh asked about his health situation and encouraged Dien to treat his illness well and soon recover.

l On the same day, Red Cross of Phu My ward, Thu Dau Mot city held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a house for Nguyen Thi Gai's family in Quarter 3.

Nguyen Thi Gai situation belongs to the local difficult household, old age and infirmity. Currently her house is in a dilapidated state but the family cannot afford to repair it. The ward Red Cross Association called on businesses in the area to give support to build a house for Mrs. Gai's family. With this support, Mrs. Gai's family will soon settle down and have more strength to improve their lives.

l On August 21, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations of Phu My ward presented 30 “zeor-dong” gifts to poor workers staying in local lodging houses. Each gift included rice and other necessities. “One piece as hungry is equal to one pack as full”, these meaningful gifts help workers have more motivation and overcome difficulties.
