With many practical activities, provincial Trade Unions at all levels have become a reliable companion of laborers, protecting their legitimate rights and interests.

For sake of laborers

Nguyen Tam Duong, vice-chairman of provincial Labor Union said that the activities of the local Trade Unions at all levels have been innovated in both content and form for the sake of laborers’ legitimate rights and interests.

Provincial Trade Unions at all levels have also sped up dissemination of information about the laws among laborers; tightened control over implementation of the State’s policies directly relating to laborers; frequently organized dialogues between enterprises and laborers in a bid to build up harmonious labor relationships.

In addition, provincial Trade Unions at all levels have paid attention to legal consultancy and support, contributing to raising laborers’ legal knowledge. They gave legal consultancy with contents pertaining to labor contract, social insurance, health insurance…for 1,383 turns of collectives and individuals in the first half of the year.

Also in the first half of the year, the Capital Aid Fund for Employment of the Poor (CEP) disbursed more than VND53bln for 5,600 laborers, helping them stabilize their lives.

Provincial Trade Unions at all levels have also introduced 909 outstanding trade unionists to the Communist Party of Vietnam since early this year. Among them, there were 362 admitted into the Communist Party of Vietnam.

It is known that since the beginning of its new tenure, provincial Labor Union have admitted additional 158,033 trade unionists or 158% of the projection and set up additional 633 trade union locals or 90.4% of the projection.

Emulation movements

According to Mr.Duong, many emulation movements have promoted production and trading activities in enterprises and stabilized laborers’ livelihood, greatly contributing to the local socio-economic development.

The emulation movement of “Well-working, creatively-working” has lured more than 85% of laborers with many innovations of improvement and rationalization applied, contributing to raising labor productivity, bettering working conditions, minimizing environmental pollution…

In the first half of the year, 300 subjects, products were registered for implementation with a total value of more than VND150bln; 316 initiatives were applied in real life, with an over VND50bln dong profit, of which 5 with an over VND1.5bln dong profit has been suggested for certificates of Creativity Laboring by Vietnam General Confederation of Labor...

In the current difficult context, trade unions at all levels play a more important role in ensuring a harmonious relationship between laborers and enterprises while promoting emulation movements among laborers in order to improve and stabilize their livelihood.
