Resolutions on social life ratified

The second session of the 8th provincial People’s Council ratified 14 resolutions on economic, budget, socio-cultural fields. These are crucial contents to spur local socio-economic development and national defense.

Establishment of Thu Dau Mot city

At the session, deputies ratified a resolution on asking government to set up Thu Dau Mot city based on Thu Dau Mot town’s status. Accordingly, the 11,881ha city will include 289,266 residents and 11 wards and 3 communes.

In addition, the session passed a resolution on transferring 24ha of land from Uyen Hung township to Khanh Binh commune of Tan Uyen district. The adjustment helps solve difficulties of management but not to change status of population and urban structure of Uyen Hung township.

Policies

The session ratified a resolution on assisting 30% of salary for teachers of state-run schools, 35% of wage for baby-sitters at state-run nursery schools…

In addition, district and communal militia force will enjoy a subsidy of 30% of a labor day.

Personnel of state administration

The local People’s Council ratified a total state personnel of 2,618 people in 2012. The council passed 22,168 positions for administration units.

Besides, the session ratified resolutions on a 5-year action plan of the council, local tourism planning till 2020, toll collection of BOT project of DT741 road and fare of granting land usage certificates.
