Spreading "Godmother - Love and sharing" program

In the evening of June 26, a program named "Godmother - Love and sharing" took place at at Provincial Convention - Exhibition Center.

Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central People's Committee; Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, Former Member of the Party Central Committee, former Vice President; Ha Thi Nga, Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Women's Union were honored guests of the program. On the side of Binh Duong province, there is Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Minh Thuy, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Organization Committee; Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of Provincial Party Propagation Education Department.

The program was broadcasted live on Binh Duong Radio and Television.

The delegates reviewed the results of the program "Godmother" through documentary films "Godmother’s impression", "The journey of connecting ethnic godmothers", "Kind mothers", "The mother of many children"; interview with "Godmothers and children"; “Ao dai” show performed by godmothers and children; gave gifts to godmothers and children and thanked sponsors of the program.

Eight months after the launching, the "Godmother" program has spread throughout Vietnam. At all levels of Women's Union from central to local levels have mobilized, connected, supported and committed to sponsoring 10,774 disadvantaged orphans, including more than 2,000 orphans due to Covid-19 in need of support.

The delegates gave gifts to godmothers and children.

Particularly, during the peak period in response to Vietnam Family Day (June 28) in 2022, Women's Union of centrally-run cities and units registered to sponsor 5,330 children.

The delegates present flowers and symbols of gratitude to the units accompanying the program.

Ha Thi Nga called on organizations and individuals to continue expanding their charitable arms and accompany the program so that disadvantaged and orphaned children are able to develop comprehensively in family and in the community like other children. "Let's spread the message together: Don't leave any orphans behind. Let's act for a happy, bright future for children," she said.

The delegates and the units raise their hands to show their commitment to the program "Godmother".

On behalf of Binh Duong provincial leaders, Vo Van Minh wished all levels, branches, benefactors, businesses in and outside the province to join hands with all levels of Women's Union to take more care of the children, join hands to ease the pain and build up new families, so that whenever Tet comes, children can have a place to gather, grow in the love of everyone. The material and spiritual attention and support of the society will definitely be a great source of encouragement for the children to make more efforts to rise up and strive for a bright future.
