Gross domestic product (GRDP) of Binh Duong in the first quarter of this year increased insignificantly compared to the same period last year. Industrial production, import and export decreased in both directions. Although enterprises have actively changed their approach, introduced products, searched for new customers and markets, but the number of orders and order size decreased sharply, the production business situation decreased significantly and faced many difficulties.
Therefore, the province is directing competent agencies to drastically implement solutions to help the business community stabilize production and business, stimulate import and export to contribute to growth rate of the whole province. Currently, most countries have been easing or limiting the control of the Covid-19 pandemic. Consumption demand is recovering in the global market, this is an opportunity for enterprises to boost production business and import-export activities. Besides, free trade agreements (FTAs) are gradually being implemented in a more comprehensive and effective manner, creating favorable conditions for provincial exported goods to penetrate into partner markets with preferential tariffs.
The recovery of economies in the world after the Covid-19 pandemic will be a condition and opportunity to help businesses boost their exports. But in order for Vietnamese goods to deeply participate in the global supply chain, in addition to the timely support of all levels and functional branches, it is important for businesses to really take the initiative, boldly restructure production, change business approaches to match changes of the market, especially adapting to new generation FTAs. Along with that, it is required that businesses focus on promoting the diversification of markets and import-export industries to reduce dependence on traditional markets and industries.
The forecast of the world situation in the coming time is still complicated, but there are also many optimistic signals. Therefore, the implementation of support policies, in order to continue to remove difficulties in production business activities, promote import-export for enterprises is a key task of the province at the moment. Provincial People's Committee directed departments and branches such as industry and trade, banking, customs... to support businesses to take advantage of opportunities and find solutions to develop their market. At the same time, focus on closely monitoring the situation of each market to review and identify the types of goods that countries are in demand to exploit, promote import and export, and keep up the growth rate.
