Tan Uyen district’s Youth Union and Division of Natural Resources and Environment co-held the 2nd “Youths and environment” contest on May 13 and 14.

The contest took place jubilantly with three parts: multi-choice, presentation and aptitude. Noticeably, many practical solutions for environmental protection were presented at the contest.

The Youth Union of Hieu Liem commune said that the planning work for development needs to be carried out for each area and firms also need to be removed from residential areas while keeping environmental hygiene by the waste treatment systems. The local authorities also need to uphold the role of staff in field of environment; boost education of environmental protection in businesses and give strict punishment for related violations; raise public awareness of environmental protection via the local meetings…

Whilst, according to the team of Phu Chanh commune, youths have to raise their role in environmental protection and mobilize their relatives to get involved in the work. Farmers also need to keep their breeding facilities clean and use safe pesticides in cultivation…
