*Over 200 pupils in Tan Uyen attend an extracurricular class on “Pupils with traffic safety”

TDM city’s Youth Union has just teamed up with Trong Sang Motorbike Co.Ltd. to organize a ceremony to launch the 2013 propaganda program to ensure traffic order and safety (photo) with the participation of 240 Youth Union members, teachers and heads of HCM Young Pioneer Teams at city-based schools.

According to statistics in 2013, 914 traffic accidents were reported in TDM city, killing 83 people and injuring 898 others. Among them, there were 8 serious traffic accidents, killing 14 people. Encroachment on other vehicle's lane,  ignored signals, negligence…were blamed for causing the above traffic accidents. 

The program aimed to disseminate information of the Law on Road Traffic among the local youth, mobilize 100% of the local Youth Unions and youth to register for implementation of traffic safety and take part in keeping traffic safety, contributing to minimizing traffic accidents. After the launching ceremony, participants made propaganda activities on traffic order and safety on streets in inner TDM city.

*Early December 29, Tan Uyen district’s Youth Union joined hands with the district’s Traffic Safety Committee to organize an extracurricular class on “Pupils with traffic culture” at Le Thi Trung secondary school in Uyen Hung township, in attendance of more than 200 pupils.

During the class, pupils watched sketches on traffic safety propaganda, heard reports on the situation of traffic accidents in the district, took part in contests of identifying traffic signals, making wall-newspapers and showing paper costumes on traffic safety propaganda…This was a practical program to raise the local Youth Union members and pupils’ awareness of obeying regulations on traffic order and safety, contributing to curbing traffic accidents.
